Station Road Surgery is a well established 4 partner practice, offering a broad range of services in a welcome, friendly environment. We aim to provide an excellent service and are committed to your primary care needs.
Opening Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8.30 am – 6.00 pm (phone lines close at 6.30 pm)
- Test results - please ring after 2pm
When the Surgery is closed
The Local Health Board is responsible for the provision of out of hours medical cover. A doctor is available at all times to deal with emergencies and urgent problems; if you telephone our normal number when the surgery is closed you will be automatically transferred.
If you ring them, they will take details of your problem and give appropriate advice. They may arrange a consultation at the GP Emergency Centre based at Barry Hospital or send a doctor to your home to visit if necessary.
Facilites
We have a hearing loop at reception. If you unable to unable to use the stairs please inform reception staff in advance of your appointment and we will arrange for you to be seen downstairs. Large print practice leaflets are available for the visually impaired.
Station Road Surgery is a Breast Feeding Friendly Practice. We recognise the benefits of breast feeding. Breast feeding is acceptable in all public areas of our premises and mothers will not be asked to move or stop Breast feeding. Station Road Surgery employees are supportive and aware of the Breast Feeding Welcome Scheme.
All public areas of our premises are non smoking.
Medical Students
Station Road Surgery is committed to the development and education of our future doctors. It is extremely valuable for medical students to observe your consultation. They learn from the patients as well as the doctor. We appreciate your help with their training. However if you do not wish a medical student to observe your consultation please inform reception.
