Flu Clinics 2017/18

The Flu Season 2017/18 will be starting at the end of September 2017. We currently have a Saturday morning pre-book appointment flu clinic on Saturday 14th October 2017 (More Saturday Flu Clinics may be added if there is a demand). Other options for appointments are available.

If you fall into one of the following categories and we hold your mobile number you will receive a text message from us reminding you of the need to be vaccinated, in addition we aim to provide everyone with a letter offering them the vaccination.

It is recommended that if you suffer from one of the following diseases, are pregnant or are over the age of 65, you are advised to have the Flu vaccination:

  • Chronic Heart Disease
  • Diabetes Mellitus
  • Asthma
  • COPD
  • Stroke/Tia
  • Immunosupression due to disease or treatment
  • Chronic Renal Disease
  • Live in a long stay residential or nursing home
  • Chronic Liver Disease
  • Carers - Those who are receipt of a carer's allowance, or those who are the carer of an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill
  • All pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy
  • People who are morbidly obese with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or above
  • All children aged 2 born after 31st August 2015 , and children aged 3 born after 31st August 2014
  • Children at risk between aged 6 months and 2 years
